Memory Support


Cognitive (memory) & physical exercise and improve fitness levels.
This three-times a week day program is specially designed to offer socialization and mental & physical stimulation to frail elderly and individuals with memory loss or Alzheimer’s. Activities include arts and crafts, physical fitness, music, and reminiscing. Classes are taught through the Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center (ADCRC).

Mobility Support

Exercise to maintain and improve range of motion, balance and strength.
This twice a week day program is designed for individuals who are post-stroke, coping with Parkinson’s disease, osteoporosis or rheumatoid arthritis. Instruction focuses on mobility, self-care, expressive language, and tools for independent living. Individuals will benefit from the series of exercises led by occupational and physical therapists that increase range of motion, strength, and balance.

This program has been taught through the Stroke Handicapped Adult Rehabilitation Education (SHARE) for the last 26 years, in collaboration with the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA).

Yoga

Take a deep breath and enjoy this beginning yoga class. Learn gentle conditioning positions and simple and effective ways to do relaxed breathing. Bring a mat or towel and a water bottle. All fitness levels are welcome.
